The weather was perfect, the prizes were plentiful and we could not have asked for better partnerships in making the 13th annual Big Magic Golf Scramble a success!

The day started with lunch and registration as teams gathered together. Jimmy Johns passed out sub sandwiches while hotdogs simmered on the grill. When the teams finished eating, they took a couple minutes to stretch and were ready to go!

For the afternoon, every team enjoyed the University of Michigan golf course with family, friends and co-workers. They attempted to win the 2009 Jeep Cherokee on hole 5 and the Toshiba television on hole 8. Some came close, but everyone one will have to come back next year for the chance to take them home!

Following the Scramble, Cottage Inn served a delicious dinner for our golfers as we announced the winners of our silent auction prizes: Southwest Airline tickets, passes to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, a free Baking Class at Zingerman’s for two, and much more.

Though the day was fun, it would not have been complete without the participation of our matches! They helped with games on the course, showcased auction items with our auctioneer, David Helmer, and were the guest speakers for our dinner program.
