Jennifer Spitler, Executive Director
Chad Allee, Program Supervisor
Lynne Nagy, Development Specialist

Jennifer Spitler, LMSW
Executive Director

Jennifer has over twelve years experience working with abused and neglected youth in residential foster care treatment, teen parents and at-risk families.  Jennifer began her career working with youth and older adults in an intergenerational literacy tutoring program in inner-city public schools in Cleveland, Ohio.

Jennifer came to BBBS 8 years ago, as a Match Support Specialist and then as the Program Supervisor, while the local BBBS was a sponsored program under the auspices of HelpSource, a large non-profit organization serving individuals, families and children. During this time, Jennifer led the growth of the BBBS program from serving just over 100 kids each year to nearly 600 in 2006. She also served as a member of the agency’s leadership team and assisted in the financial management, strategic planning, and overall agency development initiatives. In 2007, HelpSource precipitously closed and discontinued serving clients, at which time BBBS became an independent organization under the direction of Ms. Spitler.

Jennifer received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University in 2004 and is a Macro Licensed Master’s Social Worker in the State of Michigan.

Chad Allee, LMSW
Program Supervisor

Chad has over 8 years of experience working in the Social Work field for key nonprofits in the area. He joined BBBS in 2009 as its Program Supervisor. During his tenure at HelpSource he served as the organization’s Human Resource Director. During this time he was also volunteering as a Big Brother.

In addition to Chad’s Human Resource experience, and MSW field placement experiences, he has worked with at-risk children as a Youth Development worker in Residential Foster Care homes for adolescents, has worked with at-risk families during court ordered supervised parenting visits, and has worked with displaced workers during career transitions and employment retraining.

As BBBS’ Program Supervisor Chad is responsible for all program oversight for the Community and School Based Mentoring programs.

Chad holds both a Bachelor of Science degree and a Masters degree in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University. He is currently working on a second Masters degree in Organizational Leadership and Administration at Concordia University.
