WHAT IS A BBBS AMBASSADOR?

It has been proven that the most effective way to recruit new Bigs is for someone to learn about mentoring from a trusted source. A Big Ambassador is someone connected to BBBS who talks to their network of friends, relatives and colleagues about the value of mentoring and helps to recruit new Bigs. Ambassadors also volunteer to help at BBBS events, and attend quarterly meetings where they get to network with other ambassadors and learn about upcoming support opportunities. 

WHO CAN BE AN AMBASSADOR?

Good question! The answer is pretty much everyone: Bigs, Littles, Parent/Guardians, BBBS staff, volunteers, board and advisory council members and program alum all make excellent ambassadors. In addition, joining the Ambassadors Group can also be an excellent option for someone who is passionate about our mission, but whose schedule doesn't allow them to volunteer for more time consuming roles. 

WHAT ARE THE EXPECTAIONS?

Our ambassadors enjoy a very limited and flexible schedule. The group is designed to allow participants to get involved where and how it makes the most sense for them.  All we ask is that you share your passion for mentoring with friends, colleagues, and relatives with the purpose of recruiting new Bigs. But how you choose to do that is entirely up to you. We'll help you to develop a plan, target goals and your own unique strategy!
