Join Stepping Into Sisterhood for a step workshop in the RAC Dance Hall at 2:15 pm. This class will teach a 8 count step routine. And show a tad bit of what takes place within Stepping Into Sisterhood. Most people don’t think they can do it until they do it. Stepping Into Sisterhood runs through Sisters In Success Co. is a social enterprise dedicated to educating and uplifting all women that are working towards their purpose. Our mission is to make education and employment accessible to any woman so that she can further her skills and future endeavors.​

Be Creative Studio

Join local legend , artist, father and yoga instructor Curtis Wallace of the Be Creative Studio in the RAC Dance Hall, to stretch it out and destress with a family yoga session focused on self love.  Curtis works with students of all ages, preschool all the way up to senior citizens.  He is determinded to use his artistic gift and wisdom to help people let go of self doubt and anxiety, and show them how to explore their talents and lean into their own unique creativity.   His approach to art is based is positivity and affirmations, leaving the old ways of right or wrong approaches in art in the past.   Curtis Wallace from Ypsilanti Michigan is a black male award winning artist. Curtis's work can be found hanging in homes around the world, at the Ann Arbor library and outside murals in the Ypsilanti community.

Bichini Bia Congo

Experience Congolese dance and music with Bichini Bia Congo! Participants will learn basic movements for Congolese cultural dances and will wrap up with a mini performance at the end of the workshop. You can catch Bichini Bia Congo twice during the fair in the RAC Theater with Black Men Read at 12:45 pm and in the RAC Dance Hall at 3 pm.
