At Big Brothers Big Sisters of Washtenaw County, we believe in the dignity and worth of all individuals. We believe that each young person deserves unconditional support and acceptance, no matter their race, religion, gender or sexual orientation. We encourage any and all interested young people and potential mentors to inquire and learn more about being in a supportive, developmental mentoring relationship.

We know that one moment shared by one kid and one mentor, can unlock limitless potential. An important heart to heart, or a simple inside joke can be the crucial expression of care that ignites and empowers a child's bright future. Being a Big means challenging, supporting, and collaborating with your Little. It means showing up. It means watching with pride as they begin to realize and own their potential.
